Chel Stroud Hery founded ZNE in March of 2005. Since that time, ZNE has become her full time (++!) job, her daily (and nightly) passion, and her life. Luckily, Chelise feels that living in the Land of ZNE is a dream come true. A surreal dream at times, but a dream come true, still. Aside from founding ZNE, Chelise is well known for her whimsical creations and love of pin up girls and bright colors. She is also well known for collecting art with spiders and cherries as central themes.
Chelise lives in Northern California with her husband and two children. She also has two rescue dogs and a rescue kitty. Chelise counts her family and pets as her first passion, and next comes art (and along came a spider who sat down beside her, named ZNE)! She thanks God and counts her blessings daily that her life is surrounded by family and art.
Chelise's art has been shown and sold in local California Art Galleries, local Art and Craft fairs and shows, and in numerous online venues. Her art is in collections across the world including Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, and the United States. In addition to founding ZNE, Chelise is also the founder of The Pleasanton Craft Mafia, and Indie-O-Rama.com.
