Russell L. White joined ZNE in September of 2007. He is a papercraft, collage and altered artist. Russell enjoys using various items in his work including mixed media, found objects, vintage elments and rubberstamps.
Russell is a professional Fashion Designer and has worked in the garment industry since 1972. Among his professoinal acheivements, he has designed clothes for Levi Strauss, Janzten, Catalina, Tomboy, International Male, Balboa Sportswear, Lavon Sportswear, The GAME, Russell Corporation, Structure/Express, Coldwater Creek and Blair.
Russell orginally received his BFA in art from San Francisco State and he has taken design courses from Otis Parson's in Los Angeles. Among his many passions is travel, as - in his words - "it opens up your visual senses to the elements and textures that surround our lives." At the last count he has been to over 100 countries around the world.
He loves to share information and experiences and Russell has taught fashion design classes at Woodbury University in Burbank, California and at the Learning Tree University. In addition, he has done many paper craft workshops.
Volunteering is also very import to Russell. He has worked with children in his local school reading programs, worked with local AIDS organizations, assisted with community leadership programs sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and he is currently the co-president for his local art league. His partner, Stan, and he have their own business called TwistedPapers.com and they share a home with their collections of art and antiques as well as with their three dogs - Christopher a cockapoo, Sammy a miniature poodle and Beauregard a toy poodle.
