Susan Tidwell is a Supporting Member of ZNE, and has been a ZNE Member since January of 2007. Susan says she began her altered art journey with rubber stamping which is still her first love, but she likes to think of herself as a mixed media artist as well, as she likes collage, altering things, making books, and more. Susan says she likes the vintage and shabby chic styles and love children's images, words and lots of layers.
Susan lives in the Metroplex between Ft. Worth and Dallas, TX, with her husband of 34 years. Her five children are grown and live all over the United States. The youngest is a freshman at Texas Tech.
Susan says she has always created - starting with sewing and paper projects as a child. She started needlework in high school and became a nationally certified needlepoint teacher in the early 90's. Her experience with rubberstamping led to collage and altered art, which she has been working in for the past 7 or 8 years.
Susan belongs to several online art groups including AAWA, ArtTechniques, CollageCats and CreativeCards and she is the founder of a small local group called Enjoying Art Together (EAT).
Susan says that The ZNE Design Team is the first design team she has been a member of and she is very excited!
